The feet affect the quality of life in many ways, the enjoyment of mobility, sport, exercise and leisure, therefore pain in the nails, toes or foot can reduce that quality. The aim of Podiatry treatment is to eliminate the pain or develop a treatment plan.
The range of treatments and advice available covers: Pain in the foot or lower limb arising from overuse or injury; corns, callus, hard skin, verrucae, cracked heels, Atheletes foot, fungal infections, toenail cutting and the provision of orthotics to control how the foot operates.
Each consultation may include; Review of medical history and medication (prescribed and alternative therapies). Assessment of: footwear, circulatory and neurological responses in the foot. Diagnosis, appropriate treatment using sterilised instruments. Advice and guidance for future footcare by the patient and podiatrist.
The first consultation requires 30 – 45 minutes.

Tonygraduated from the School of Podiatry at the University of Salford and is a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists and registered with the Health Professions Council – whose duty is to maintain standards of care and protect the public. With five years experience, two of which have been in private practice, Tony is ready to support you.Married with two grown up children and a granddaughter, with hobbies that include dinghy sailing and instruction, windsurfing and hill walking.
