What to Expect

The feet affect the quality of life in many ways, the enjoyment of mobility, sport, exercise and leisure, therefore pain in the nails, toes or foot can reduce that quality. The aim of Podiatry treatment is to eliminate the pain or develop a treatment plan.

The range of treatments and advice available covers: Pain in the foot or lower limb arising from overuse or injury; corns, callus, hard skin, verrucae, cracked heels, Atheletes foot, fungal infections, toenail cutting and the provision of orthotics to control how the foot operates.

Each consultation may include; Review of medical history and medication (prescribed and alternative therapies). Assessment of: footwear, circulatory and neurological responses in the foot. Diagnosis, appropriate treatment using sterilised instruments. Advice and guidance for future footcare by the patient and podiatrist.

The first consultation requires 30 – 45 minutes.

The consultation fee is £29.
